Global Prodigy Academy, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, is a small and dynamic international school serving the educational needs of Korean and International families. GPA’s dedicated teachers hold each of our students to high intellectual and character standards so that when they graduate high school, they can be successful in college, and confident in their life choices. Our school follows the non-state attributed Common Core standards because we value skills and flexibility that are necessary to the development and esteem of young adult learners. We offer Advanced Placement classes and after school activities to provide additional challenges for our students.
You are more than welcome to visit our school, and witness first-hand the intellectual challenges our teachers deliver to our students. We have small class sizes, in which teachers can individualize instruction and get to know them on a more personal level. Our students are eager to learn new ways of making sense of their world. Student share a deep camaraderie, and support each other in a positive way. Smiles can seen, and laughter heard in all the classrooms.
My vision as principal of Global Prodigy Academy is to nurture a learning environment where the voices of students are heard and their ideas are considered in a respectful and open manner. By all means, come visit us, I look forward to speaking with you about what we can offer your child.
Welcome to Global Prodigy Academy (GPA), a private international college preparatory high school located on the campus of Jeonju University. GPA was established in 2006 to support the educational needs of Korean and International families with the mission of preparing students to go abroad for their colleges and to become global leaders. GPA is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
As the principal of GPA, I am so happy to keep a good relationship with parents and students as well as teachers and Jeonju University admin staff members. All these parts are our main stakeholders to develop ourselves. I am so proud of the achievements of our students and their efforts. We, including teachers, parents and all school wide staff members, are trying to make GPA the better school for the students. I hope GPA can provide the best educational environments for the students and their parents. Also I am supporting our teachers to be globally-minded, possessing the credentials and experience to make them among the best in their fields.
Through the use of an all-English, American-focused curriculum, GPA prepares students to continue their education at universities abroad. Approximately 90 percent of GPA graduates (2017-2018) have selected to attend universities in 6 different countries. The majority of our students (over 70% of 2017-2018 graduates) attend American universities.
We are developing our partnership with Jeonju University and the surrounding communities to be an integral part of the success of GPA. I am welcoming your visit us here at GPA website for more information for your child. I look forward to meeting you, students and parents at GPA soon.
